The Creative process
Sometimes as artists, we crave the exciting world of new things, new ideas, and new ways of expression. In the instagram age it's easy to feel like it's all been done, and on some level I've been there and fight it on a daily basis.
I can't say this will work for everyone, but the truth of the matter is that everyone falls into the homogeny of teal and orange edits, VSCO presets and cloned images showing the same subject.
It's about story for me, and being a writer first and a photographer second, the question I ask, is; 'does this make me feel like I'm seeing a snippet of a story?'
It's all about story and if you can move someone with story like renaissance painting can stop you in your steps, you're doing something right. I'm still a student of the game and I'm working daily to prove to chase the story in all I do. It's easier said than done.
